40 minutes’ ride from Ikushina Wildflower Preserve takes you to Cape Puyuni Observatory. The route passes through “Hokkaidiatic” spectacular scenery.
We were hit by cold storm at the observatory. No human around this popular attraction under this weather…But drift ice was splendid! It makes a drastic change of the landscape of the ocean from its summer.
Here is a video. Be careful of the sound of wind!
You can distinguish how each ice is big by comparison with humans on. Riding on the ice is now strictly prohibited, while Shari town “Waking tour on drift ice” is available. Its cost (5,100 for adult) is a little bit expensive but it deserves.
Can’t find a word but “cold”! Keep standing to observe around is almost impossible. In this case we ecvacuate to roadside station “Utoro Shirietoku” and taking curry and rice there.
